10. Marche

The Marche region is a wine-growing area still deeply rooted in agricultural tradition and indigenous grape varieties. Nestled between the Adriatic Sea and the Apennines, the landscape features rolling hills and soils rich in clay and limestone. Verdicchio is one of Italy's great white wines, combining freshness, structure, and longevity. In recent years, many winemakers have embraced sustainable practices and less invasive processing methods. Wines from the Marche are characterized by balance, spice, and a strong sense of regional identity.
